The Welsh Ambulance Service is preparing to host its bi-monthly Board meeting.
The public are invited to join on Microsoft Teams to hear Corinne and Laurence Cope, parents of the late Dylan Cope, who died in December 2022 of sepsis, reflect on the nine-year-old’s death, including their experience of contacting NHS 111 Wales and how to recognise the signs of sepsis.
Senior leaders will discuss the new ambulance performance framework being introduced from July, which will signal a move away from response time measures and a shift towards patient outcomes, as well as the evolution of the Trust’s clinical model, designed to deliver safer care for patients and protect ambulance capacity for those who need it most.
There will also be an opportunity to pose a question to the Board.
Colin Dennis, Chair of the Welsh Ambulance Service, said: “Our Board meetings are an important part of how we operate openly and transparently, and I encourage anyone with an interest in our work to join us virtually.
“They’re a chance to stay informed about the progress we’re making and the challenges we face as we continue to evolve ambulance services for people in Wales, as well as an opportunity to put questions to our decision-makers.”
