Emergency services to host annual Christmas carol service

25.11.25

The emergency services in north Wales are preparing to host their popular Christmas carol service.

The annual service, jointly hosted by North Wales Police, the Welsh Ambulance Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service will take place at Bangor Cathedral on Monday 8 December at 7.30pm.

There will be performances from the North Wales Police Choir and Seindorf Beaumaris Band.

There will also be a mix of readings by representatives of the emergency services, plus well-known carols for the congregation to sing.

Admission is free and proceeds from the collection will go to Prostate Cancer UK.

Chief Constable Amanda Blakeman of North Wales Police added: “I am looking forward to joining colleagues, partners and friends for this special occasion to start off the Christmas celebrations.

“This annual service is one of the highlights of the festive period, not only for the emergency services, but also for the community who turn out to support us.

“We hope to collect as much money as possible on the evening which will be donated to this year’s chosen charity – Prostate Cancer UK, supporting the vital work they do to help those affected by the disease.

“A warm welcome is extended to all to what I am sure will be a wonderful evening.”

Free refreshments – thanks to kind donations from Morrisons and Tesco – will be served at the back of the cathedral following the service.
