Gina Hughes
Gina is an amazing manager, a real leader and always given more than 100%. She is an inspiration and has helped me through so much trauma this year. She is such a positive role model, and always has time for you, even when off duty.

Andrea is the ideal mentor, she has years of experience, bundles of patience and has the right demeanour to teach others. Her dedication to a high quality of work, her leadership qualities and passion for her duties have inspired me to try and emulate her. Andrea is real asset to the Capital Development team, an embodiment of the WAST behaviours, an unsung hero and someone I feel is very deserving of this award.

Mike Davies
Mike is a Paramedic for the Falls Response Service which was set up in collaboration with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Occupational Therapists 18 months ago. Without his skills and experience the service wouldn’t be as beneficial and positive as it is. Mike is knowledgeable, dedicated and passionate about his role, always makes time for the patients and is always kind and caring towards them.

Cian Owen
I am nominating Cian as he has made such a massive difference to mine and my colleague’s working environment. He instils all the Trust Behaviours and is always available for guidance and support and a chat no matter how busy he is or how much pressure he's under. He lifts even the darkest days and is always calm under pressure, while directing and supporting the team. He is devoted to his role and is very highly thought of within the department.

Kloe Hands
Since starting as an Emergency Medical Technician, Kloe has mentored me through that time also whilst working with student paramedics. Kloe goes above and beyond what is expected of anyone with her clinical skills. She comes in on her day off to meet new students and make them feel welcome. She has always made herself available for both personal and work-related matters. She is second to none.

Lisa Pope
Lisa went above and beyond for me last year, when I struggled with acute stress from several clinical incidents I attended. Lisa went beyond being an employee and went further by showing true compassion for a work colleague who was in difficulty. Lisa was always a phone call away, would ring me when she said she would and offered to meet out of work to allow me to talk, which made me feel a valued member of the WAST team. Lisa inspires me as a leader, paramedic and as a person daily - always impeccably efficient and always able to find the time to listen, coach or advise.

Gareth Parry
Gareth has had a massive impact on the Community First Responder team since commencing in his role as Operations Assistant Community Support, both on personal and professional levels. He thrives for CFRs to succeed within their role and is a fantastic member of the team who will do anything for anyone. He has put more hours than needed into supporting CFRs and is always at the end of an email or a text if you need him. It has been a pleasure to volunteer under his guidance and support.

Vince Bagole
I have worked with Vince for the last two years. When I started working with him my confidence was at an all-time low. He took the time and inspired me to realise that I can do anything if I put my mind to. With his support and guidance, I would not have been able to complete several courses, including my Prince 2 Foundation and Practitioner exams. He has inspired me to continue learning and I will be forever in his debt.

Robin Bigood
Robin is a colleague who stands out from the crowd. He is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and clearly committed to supporting colleagues and patients alike. Robin's dedication to the role, including as a volunteer for the Mountain Rescue Service, Specialist Operational Response Team supervisor, and as a natural leader within his Llandrindod Wells team are an inspiration to not only myself, but to many others who know Robin. I feel that his hard work and dedication motivate others to do well in their role and undoubtedly inspire better team cohesion and patient care.
