Voting open for WAST Awards 2023

THE Welsh Ambulance Service is inviting the public to cast a vote in its annual awards ceremony.

Voting is open in four categories in the WAST Awards 2023, including Team of the Year, Inspiring Others, Great Listener and People’s Choice.

Professor Jason Killens, Chief Executive at the Welsh Ambulance Service, said: “The Trust is full of remarkable people, doing remarkable things every day.

“Without their dedication, compassion, and enthusiasm to help the people of Wales, the service simply would not function, so it’s really important that we celebrate our staff and volunteers.

“Often, our people don’t realise that what they do is special, but working for the ambulance service is not just any job – it’s a job that makes a real difference, so the WAST Awards are an opportunity to pause and reflect on their achievements and say a big thank you.

“Team WAST is made up of over 4,000 people, and we think everyone is deserving of an award, but this is the public’s chance to tell us who they think should get some extra special recognition.

“If you do nothing else today, take a look at some of the awe-inspiring nominations we’ve had and help us decide on a winner.”

Please read the nominations below and cast a vote before the closing date which is 11.59pm on Tuesday 15 August 2023.

Winners will be announced in person at the WAST Awards in October.
