THE WELSH Ambulance Service has held its inaugural Social Partnership Conference at Cardiff City Stadium.
Working in partnership with trade union partners, the Trust hosted a series of workshops and keynotes from leading figures in the field of social partnership, including Jack Sargeant MS, Minister for Culture, Skills and Social Partnership, who gave an opening address.
The aim of the conference was to emphasise that through mutual respect, open dialogue and a shared commitment to common goals that it would be possible to create the kind of work environments where both the organisation and its people thrived.
Jason Killens, Chief Executive at the Welsh Ambulance Service, said: “Our first ever social partnership conference was a great success, paving the way for better cooperation between senior leaders, managers, trade union partners, and our people, across Wales.
“The challenges we face demand not only the skills and innovation of leadership, but also the invaluable perspectives and experiences of our people, and it is through events like this that we can shape the future with purpose and vision.
“Our commitment to working together is something which the Welsh Ambulance Service is very proud of; it is vital in creating an organisation that is not only productive but also fair, inclusive, and supportive.”
The conference also featured special guest Derek Walker, Future Generations Commissioner for Wales and Shavanah Taj, General Secretary, TUC Cymru, who gave a keynote speech.
The Trust expressed its gratitude to all those who attended and who played a part in the rich discussions, embracing the opportunities for learning.
