Welsh Ambulance Service to host bi-monthly Board meeting next week

THE Welsh Ambulance Service will host its bi-monthly Board meeting next week.

The public can join on Zoom to hear senior leaders discuss performance, patient safety and the recent strike action by ambulance workers, as well as the Trust’s plans for the future.

A Clinical Operations Manager for NHS 111 Wales will share her experience of the strike action, both from a managerial and a personal perspective.

There will also be an opportunity for the public to pose a question to the Board.

Chair Colin Dennis said: “Board meetings are a great way to discover more about our ambulance service, as well as put questions to our Directors and Non-Executive Directors.

“They’re an opportunity to hear not just about work that’s happening here and now to improve things for patients and staff, but about our ambitious plans for the future.

“The recent strike action by ambulance workers has been generating lots of headlines, so to hear first-hand from
Clinical Operations Manager Sandra Pollard will be very insightful.”

To pre-submit a question, please email AMB_AskUs@wales.nhs.uk by no later than close of play on Wednesday 29 March.

The meeting will also be streamed live to the Trust’s Facebook page, and an agenda will be available on the Trust’s website in the coming days.
