Welsh Ambulance Service to host Annual General Meeting

THE Welsh Ambulance Service is preparing to host its Annual General Meeting.

Members of the public can observe the once-yearly gathering of Board members via Zoom on Wednesday 27 September 2023 from 9.30am.

Learn more about the Trust’s achievements over the past year, including the launch of the
Cymru High Acuity Response Unit, which was set up to improve cardiac arrest survival rates.

There will also be a special presentation on the Trust’s vision for volunteering, and the public and stakeholders can put questions to the Board.

Chair Colin Dennis said: “It’s been another challenging year for all of us in the NHS, and the Welsh Ambulance Service has been no exception.

“Our people continue to work in a health and care system which at times has been overwhelmed.

“Despite the challenges, our achievements during this last year have been impressive.

“Our people have come together at all levels of the organisation not only to respond to the challenges they face on a daily basis but also to make service improvements, without which the situation we faced would have been much worse.

“Our Annual General Meeting is a chance to learn more about those improvements as we reflect on how the last year has felt for us as an organisation, for our people and for the people we serve.

“We hope you will be able to join us.”
