Developing dementia-friendly environments

Feedback from dementia communities has led to the introduction of many improvements inside our vehicles. We have changed flooring and seat colours, adding pictures and imagery to windows and blinds in the back of vehicles. All new NEPTS vehicles are fitted with these additions. 

A project in Ceredigion is looking to introduce pictures of areas of local beauty inside the vehicles, as well as genre specific music, and activity booklets to support patients on ambulance transport.
